JIAN WANG, Ph.D.

Jian Wang is a professor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction and the Helen DeVitt Jones Endowed Chair for Teacher Education. Wang served as professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the Department of Teaching and Learning. He received a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Wang’s research focuses on the relationship between student learning, teaching, and teacher learning in the various contexts of curriculum systems, teaching organizations, and teaching and teacher education reforms.

Dr. Tan Liang See received Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University, and did her Master of Science in Education at Purdue University, United States. The focus of her research is motivational beliefs, goal orientations and student outcomes; cognitive and affective development of high ability learners, as well as talent development. Another line of her research interests is teaching and learning specifically in the area of differentiated curriculum and pedagogies.

 

Dr. Tan Liang See taught pre-service, in-service courses in educational psychology (individual differences), and Master of Education with specilsation in High Ability Studies in the areas of understanding and providing for pupils with high ability in mainstream classrooms, differentiated instructions for high ability learners, and administering and evaluating programme for high ability learners. 

Dr. Ronnel B. King is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The Education University of Hong Kong. Prior to this, he worked as a Research Scientist in the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He obtained his PhD from The University of Hong Kong in 2012 and his doctoral dissertation was awarded the "Highly Commended Dissertation Award" by the Global SELF Research Network (2013). He has received young scholar awards from the International Test Commission and the Asian Association of Social Psychology.

His primary research interests--defined broadly--are in educational psychology and positive education. More specifically, he is interested in understanding student motivation, engagement, and well-being from a psychological perspective.

RONNEL BORNASAL KING, Ph.D.

Prior to joining St Mary's University Anne Moran was Pro Vice-Chancellor for Educational Partnerships and International Affairs and Professor of Education at the University of Ulster from 2011-2014 where her responsibilities included: Widening Participation; Access and Distributed Learning including eLearning; Educational Partnerships; International Affairs; Student Support; and the Students’ Union. 

In 2008 she was awarded an OBE for services to higher education.

Her research interests are in teacher education and inclusive education which she has used to contribute to policy formulation internationally. The themes of widening access to teacher education and teacher education policy have been the focus of her most recent research publications.

HAIRUL NIZAM ISMAIL, Ph.D.

Prof. Juan Miguel Luz holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (1992) and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts Major in Classics/ Philosophy, Minor in Political Science (Magna cum laude), from Saint Mary’s College of California (1980). He currently serves as the Associate Dean of the Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development Management (ZSDM). He specializes in Analyzing Development Environment and Strategic Management and Development.

JUAN MIGUEL M. LUZ

Dr. Susan D’Aloia is the Client Success Manager for the Asia Pacific region. As an interdisciplinary educator and program developer, Susan has worked as a consultant and trainer in the United States, Latin America and Asia. She has worked with public and private schools, non-traditional learning institutions and multiple colleges and universities. Susan has taught over 1,000 hours of fully online and blended learning instruction as well as serving as a Department Head and an Associate Director. She maintains a passion for digital remediation of content and processes and working with the educators who continue to maintain and innovate learning. In addition to her doctoral degree, Susan earned a graduate degree in fine arts from Sarah Lawrence College and has a graduate level certificate in education.
